Ok...SPILL!
I want all the dirty details! lol. Let me know what works for you. I'm not as concerned as losing weight as losing fat and getting in shape. So just give me a holler and LET ME IN ON YOUR SECRETS! haha. BYE!

Re: Ok...SPILL!
Hmmm...well, what has worked for me in the past is structure. I personally hate structure, but I need it in working out and dieting. So, as boring as it sounds, writing out every meal and sticking to it. When I had a trainer, I had a meal plan that had only two days on it. I ate the sames foods, every two days, for three months. Now, mind you, I hated it, but it worked. That and I burned like 450 calories a day, haha.

Oh, and the other thing to remember is that too many changes too fast send the body into shock. Don't cut your diet from 2100 to 1200 calories in two days. Your body will respond to end the "starvation" and you will slow down your metabolism and trigger huge food cravings. Slow and steady wins the race, so start by substituting fruit and veggies instead of chips for that afternoon snack or as soon as you get home. Filling up on good high fiber foods will keep you from eating the bad.

Re: Ok...SPILL!
I tried everything, low carb, diet pills, Curves for Women, slim fast and nothing worked. I finally did Nutrisystem last year and lost 27 pounds. I gained 5 back. I still have a ways to go, but I just don't feel like doing Nutrisystem again. So I have tried cutting my calories back from over 2000 to between 1400 and 1600 per day and I've lost 8. Now I'm trying to add exercise to that. We shall see.

I've been doing Zumba and have lost 55lbs so far...it's fun and more like a party than working out. If you enjoy salsa & merengue music..give it a try!

Re: Ok...SPILL!
Hi there. I'm new to the site. I'm working on losing quite a bit of weight. But I'm setting my goals one month at a time. I'm highly motivated right now, and seeing all the posts (even from last year) is inspiring. I"ll be checking in here from time to time.

Re: Ok...SPILL!
this is felicia replying to herself, for now. odd, I know, but no posts so far on any site i've signed on to. i've lost 11 pounds. I'm managing my diet by eating super high fiber foods, a soup loaded with vegetables that fills me up, fruit to manage the sweet tooth, apples have the most bite for me. just started Qi Kung. It's like Tai Chi, a meditative stretching routine. bye for now.
