What are some of your secrets?

What are some tricks that you have to get you through the day? Here are a few of mine. 1. I use the canned powdered vanilla slim fast mix and add a cup of crushed ice and cinnamon. This turns my plain 8 oz drink into a 16 oz smoothie with the same calorie count. 2. I add a touch of sesame seed oil to 10 shrimp and 1/2 a cup of brown rice. This makes a little fried rice with a ton of flavor. Plus I can add most veggies for little to no calories. 3. Fat free plain greek yogurt with 1 tablespoon of honey or real maple syrup and vanilla extract. Freeze it soft and it's just like ice cream.

I could definitely use some tips regarding maintaning your diet when you are away from home. I have to go back to work in a couple weeks and I usually go all day without eating and then just eat when I get home.

WOW!!!! I love your first post! Those are some awesome Ideas! As you can see, I have fallen off the band wagon again! I hate this doing it alone thing! I hate working out alone and no one at home wants to follow my plan so I am stuck in limbo! I hate this! It feels as though they would not care for me or my intentions. I am so down right now, it is not even cool! Hope this gets better soon! I am not giving up. But I need so much help and no one is willing to help.

Tange, The going the whole day without eating is definitely not good! That is putting your body into starvation mode. Why dont you pack the same as you mentioned above and then pack some snacks. The best snacks would be berries which are high in antioxidants and help you in your weightloss! I wish you the best of luck. I will be around, just let me know.

I'm with you Calitchi, I just got in a fight with my daughter because she was pushing ice cream (my weakness) on me. I think that she views our late night snacks as a bonding activity. We usually snack after the kids are in bed. She's 14 and a size one so she just doesn't get it. It's a tough road. I'm thinking small changes this month will equal big results later. This is my August motto :) No drastic dieting or drastic workouts. Just positive changes in the right direction.

Oh, and you are right, I should try to pack some basics so I can eat more often. I have a fridge in my class room so it shouldn't be too hard. Thanks
