Re: Fat loss - weight loss
Hi Amy, I hope you haven't given up yet...the best way that I have found to get me into the gym is to schedule an appointment, as if you would with a hairdresser and hold yourself accountable for when you miss. The hardest part about going to the gym is putting on the shoes and leaving your house, everything after that should fall into place.

Yeah, I am not a morning workout person. I have tried it before, but it is something that I can not keep myself committed to. I really like going right after work. My gym also offers classes that I hold myself accountable for attending. Start off with one class a week that you just cannot miss and then work your way up.

I have three kids, and I just can not seem to take time for myself...why do you suppose that is? I know this losing weight will help yet I don't take the time for myself?

Re: Fat loss - weight loss
What is a typical day like for you? Are your kids old enough to be in school? Do you work too? Do you have anyone that can help and watch the kids for an hour a day?
I recently read the following book that has helped me a lot with my eating habits and that is half the battle. Within the first month I lost 8lbs and my fiance lost 11 (The Mars and Venus Diet & Exercise Solution).

wow I think I am going to try it, I have to tell you I am hooked by the biggest loser - It would be wonderful if I could take ten weeks to just focus on losing weight...well gues that isn't going to happen!

Re: Fat loss - weight loss
My mother purchased the biggest loser DVD workout video, and I've begun doing it, and am already seeing and feeling results after 2 1/2 weeks. I've traied Taebo and would swear by it, but I've never sweat in my life like I do with the biggest loser workout. I wouldn't go to a gym, personally, but even if I would, I think I'd prefer to stay home. I think I'm more apt to exercise if I'm in a comfortable atmosphere. You just have to put your foot down, get committed to it. You have the power!

Re: Fat loss - weight loss
I have to do both at home and at the gym. I have videos and workout equipment at home but I do better when I get to the gym. I have to have someone to go with or I wont go. I have a freind that works out with me sometimes and if we plan it I will always go. If I say I am going on my own it wont work. With my work schedule sometimes it is necessary to workout at home due to the gym hours.
